Christ First Sports is a nonprofit christian organization devoted to reaching more people for Christ and sharing the Gospel through sports while gaining monetary support for other christian organizations. We are committed to challenging kids athletically in their walk with God by giving them professional instruction in a safe and fun enviroment.On September 27, Christ First Sports will be having their 2nd annual golf tournament at Los Robles golf course in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Women of the Wells is having its annual WOW Walk 4 Water in Huntington Beach on Saturday, September 18th. Our mission is to bring clean, uncontaminated water to impoverished people throughout the world. Millions are dying each year of waterborne diseases caused by unclean drinking water. “In as much as you have done it unto the least of my brethren, you have done it unto me.” The walk raises awareness of this human tragedy that results when people do not have access to clean drinking water. Funds raised will be used to drill bore wells in Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, South Africa, Cambodia, China (Cisterns only), India (Northern and Southern), Laos, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Philippines, Thailand and Peru. The walk starts on strand (the paved path) on the beach where PCH and Beach Blvd intersect. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and the walk starts at 9:30. Everyone is welcome. Komen Race for the Cure® is an important community event bringing together women, men, families, friends and businesses to celebrate breast cancer survivors and remember those who have lost their battle with the disease.
